BRIGHTEN UP UR FACE 

 

 

Starting with the various face packs which have been unveiled over years, tried by myself and very effective..Believe me!

          Lemon and  tomato juice. Tomato is very rich in Vit A and a natural bleach and lemon , DIY for a lighter skin tone.
 
 Chocolate mask:
 
  • 1/3 cup cocoa + 3 tbsp heavy cream + 2 tsp cottage cheese+ a dash of honey + 3 tsp oatmeal powder. Mix ingredients together and smooth onto your face. Relax for 10 min, then wash with warm water.
  •  1/2 cup milk + 1 tbsp honey + 1 lemon juice. Apply the mixture onto your face with cotton wool and let it dry off naturally. Once dry, apply again for a few rounds. Put on this mixture about 2 hrs prior to the party for that instant glow.
  • 1 tbsp cream + pinch of haldi + squueze of lime. Apply it on your face 20 min prior to your shower. While cream moisturizes your skin, lime and honey slighly bleaches your face and haldi acts as a disinfectant ( its a natural anti septic)
( Add some grounded rice powder into the above mix and make a scrub!)

 

  •  Mix 1 tsp juice of each cucumber+ papaya+ lemon and apply on face.
  • A paste of tulsi and neem leaves also helps brighten the complexion.
  •  Apply a mask of grated apple. Leave on for 20 min. Wash off and watch your skin glow in no time at all. :D
  • Steaming the face twice a week followed by application of ice pack increases the circulation of blood and enhances glow.
  • Ground coriander+ cumin+ fenugreek+ liquorice+ besan. Apply this twice a week and see the result by yourself.
  •  If no pimples: try this: 2-3 tsp oatmeal powder+ 1 tsp multani mitti+ 1 egg white+ 1 tsp honey+ yogurt.
  •  Do facial with chandan powder and milk. It will not only relax you but an excellent coolant too.
  • Mix baking soda with a tablespoon of lemon juice and a few drops of coconut oil.

 

  •  Ice cold cucumber slices should be rubbed upward and outwards to avoid sagging skin.
  •  1 tsp yogurt+ lime juice+ honey+ 4 tsp oatmeal powder+ egg white.
OILY SKIN-
  • 1/2 tomato (mashed, seeds and skin removed)+ 2 tsp curd+ 1 tsp mashed cucumber+ 3-4 tsp oatmeal powder+ 3 crushed mint leaves. Mix ingredients together and apply onto your face. wash off after 10 min with warm water.
  •  Lime juice few drops+ Cucumber juice few drops+ 1 drop of a cologne.
  •  Cucumber juice by itself is very capable.
  •  1tsp besan (gram flour)+ pinch of haldi + 1/2 tsp honey + few drops of lime juice and water. Replace water with milk/curd in case of dry skin.
  •  Rose water+ glycerine + ice cold water. Nothing can beat this concoction till date.
  • 2 tsp rose water+ 2 drops of strawberry oil + fresh orange oil.
Homeopathic medications like mercuris/ Natrum Mur is also helpful.
 
  •  Tomato juice + a drop of lime juice cleanses away all dirt efficiently. Tomato being a natural astringent brightens up the skin by itself.
  •  Use mashed plum and cleanse it with cucumber juice.
  •  Use multani mitti along with yogurt as a face pack. Multani mitti alone is too dry for skin even oily skin and tends to leave wrinkles. So always combine its use.
  •  1 tsp curd + 1tsp honey + 4 tsp oatmeal powder + 1 egg white to be used twice a week.
  • Cold banana+ 2 tbsp multani mitti + 1 tbsp honey+ rose water. Its very refreshing.
  •  1/2 tsp lime juice + equal quantity of cucumber juice can also be used.
  •  Egg white + honey/multani mitti depending upon your skin type. Egg white alone is a known skin whitener.
  •  1/4 tsp lime juice + 1 tsp cold milk + 1 tsp cucumber juice gives an instant cool feeling.
  •  2 tsp oatmeal powder+ 4 tsp buttermilk+ 2 tsp sandalwood powder. Use it for glowing skin.
DRY SKIN-
 
  •  1 tsp honey + 1 tsp curd + 1 tsp jojoba oil. The oil can be easily procured at any pharmaceutical shop.
  •  2 tsp almond oil + 2 tsp almond powder + 2 banana slices + 2 tsp glycerine/ honey + 4 tsp raw milk. Almonds can be crushed in mixie and powdered at home and its oil is easily available in the market under various trade names.
 
Blackhead Removers-
 
  •  Lime juice few drops + 1/2 cup flour + pinch of haldi + water to make a paste. Rub it on the affected areas gently.
  • Rice flour + yogurt is another practical way.
  •  Baking soda + water. Use this daily for 5 min.
  • Simmer neem leaves in water. Cool. Strain. Make a paste and use daily.
  •  Witch hazel+ rose water to make a paste.
  • 1/2 tsp honey+ white of 1 egg+ 1 tsp lime juice+ multani mitti. It is yet another potent mask.
 
Sluggish Skin-
 
  •  1 tsp yogurt + 1 orange juice. Mix the ingredients and using your finger, apply it on to your face. Leave on for 10 min and rinse off. The yogurt works on cleansing and nourishing, while orange adds the goodness of essential vitamins.
(If you have dry skin, add 1 tsp of almond oil, this will moisturize and soften skin)
 
  •  1 tsp honey + 1 egg white + 1 tsp glycerine + flour to form paste. Mix the ingredients to form a thick paste, smooth over face and neck and wash off in 10 min with warm water. Your face will feel taught and supple.
 
Dehydrated Skin-
 
  •  1 cup mixed mashed fruits ( try melon, peaches, strawberries, and bananas) + 2-3 tbsp double cream + 3 tsp brown sugar + 4 tsp oatmeal powder. Blend ingredients together and apply onto your face. Wait for 10 min, and rinse off with warm water.
 Freshen up your skin - 
 
Blueberry mask : 
1/4 cup of blueberries + 1 tsp honey+ 1 tsp olive oil. Blend these and apply to the face. Leave it on for 5 min and wash with cool water.
Blueberries are a great source of Vitamin C and leaves your face refreshed!
 
Tighten and brighten skin
 
 mist rose water to refresh, hydrate and nourish the skin throughout the day for a radiant, healthy skin.
 
Soft Skin with Grapefruit
 
Slice a grapefruit in half, add a bit of honey to it, dip it in some sugar or salt. Rub the exposed side of fruit over knees, elbows, heels
