            ONION BEANS

Onion beans, a healthier version of what is generally made in households; potato beans.

 

You require -

Onions (chopped) - 4

French beans (cut into pieces) - a handful

Oil (any vegetable oil or olive oil to be healthier)

Salt

Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp

Corriander powder - 1/2 tsp

Green Chilli (chopped) - 1

Ginger (chopped) - 1 tsp

Jeera - 1 tsp 

 

Procedure -

Take a pan, warm it, add oil (1tsp max).  

 Add jeera, ginger, garam masala, corriander powder, green chilli. Allow to sizzle for a minute or two.

Add Onions and saute them for 5 minutes till golden brown. Now add beans. Add 3-4 cups of water (to soften the beans since we have not boiled them first). Put the pan lid on and allow to cook. After 15 minutes, open the lid and let the entire water boil till dry and the beans will be soft and ready to be served.

 

Serve hot along with Chappati!
