  SPAGHETTI AGLIO E OILIO

Now this is something Italian and this is how we came to it.

Rahul used to travel a lot international, and being a veggie by diet, didnt have many options as far as food was concerned. You know , when abroad, The best rescue to vegetarian diet is Italian cuisine!

 

 

So there it was, bugged up of having  similar chessy pizzas every other day, tried on this spaghetti and it was out of the world! you bet it , that one wouldn't give up on this. 

 

You would need -

Olive oil at first place

Spaghetti (easily available at all super markets)

Black olives (they come in a bottle, again easily available at all super markets). slice them circular.

Garlic cloves (peeled and finely chopped)

Salt - to taste

Red chilli flakes 

White Pepper

Black Pepper

Pesto sauce (available in supermarkets) 

 

How to make it -

Boil the spaghetti in a pan with enough water. This is to allow to make it soft and chewy.

Drain away excess water after boiling it.

Marinate the spaghetti in 2-3 tbsp of olive oil in the meanwhile. 

In another pan, heat olive oil about 2 - 4tsp. Add garlic cloves and simmer for a few minutes. Add olives after 5-7 minutes and agian simmer them for about 5 min.

Add chilli flakes and saute for another 5 min. 

Add 3-4 big tbsp of pesto sauce now. Again saute it for say about a minute or three. 

Now add spaghetti (which had been marinated) to the pan and saute it for 10 minutes. Add little salt, white and black pepper. Mix well (take 2 spoons to mix well in the pan)

 

ready to go!!
