Potato Capsicum or Aloo Shimla mirch as you may call it, a healthy dry vegetable, very very quick to make and tasty too :)
Nothing much required other than what the name says - Potato and Capsicum.
Ingredients -
Potato (peeled, boiled/ unboiled, chopped into pieces) - 3
Capsicum (raw) - 2
Salt - to taste
Corriander powder - 1/2 tsp
green chilli (chopped) - 1
Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds (jeera) - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
How to make it -
Take a pan, heat it over flame. Take 2-3 drops of oil. Put in ginger, salt, cumin seeds, garam masala, haldi, green chilli, corriander powder and let it all sizzle for 3 minutes over flame in the pan.
Now add Capsicum (vertically cut into slices, also take intio the capsicum seeds and donot discard them, as they add a fine chilli taste) , and after 5 minutes add the potato pieces.
add in about 1 glass of water (tumbler full) if the potatoes are already boiled, else pour in about a litre (one bottle of water) into the mixture and cover with the lid after stirring once.
The potatoes will become soft and mix nicely with the capsicum and masalas.
After say about 15-20 minutes, reduce from high to medium/low flame, open the lid, stir once and check if the potatoes are soft (try pressing them with a spoon)
Dry all the water in the pan, by letting it boil in an open pan.
Stir well, remove it all to a nice bowl and the veggie is ready !
